Qualifying Vendor Requirements
Notes
The Market Tent handles SNAP transactions and issues market tokens to eligible customers. Customers will present to vendors Marlborough Farmers Market Tokens in $1 increments. These are the only SNAP tokens that may be used at the market. Vendors may not issue change for tokens.
All eligible vendors will receive a piece of paper at the beginning of each market to record their SNAP tokens received. At the end of each market a market volunteer will confirm the token count. The vendor will receive a reimbursement check at the following market or a check will be mailed to the address provided on the slip.
Note that market tokens do not expire and may be used at future markets
Households CANNOT use Market Tokens to buy:
The Market itself is unable to accept WIC and Senior Coupons so the market requires qualifying vendors to be certified to accept these benefits.
